Lets get started!
Nutritional therapy assessments and counselling
Nutrition has become quite the buzzword of our times, from ‘celebrity diets’ to superfood fads and the latest miracle for youth and longevity.
Nutritional Therapy employs a clinical approach to assesses the health of each client based on their own unique constitution, health concerns and lifestyle demands. Each client then receives a personalized nutrition and lifestyle program rather than a ‘one size fits all’ approach.
Registered Nutritional Therapists use a wide range of tools to assess and identify potential nutritional imbalances and understand how these may contribute to an individual’s symptoms and health concerns. This approach allows us to work with individuals to address nutritional optimization and help support the body towards maintaining vibrant health.
Nutritional Therapy is recognized as a complementary medicine and is relevant for individuals with chronic conditions, as well as those looking for support to enhance their health and wellbeing.
Practitioners never recommend Nutritional Therapy as a replacement for medical advice and always refer any client with ‘red flag’ signs or symptoms to their primary medical provider.
How it works
One to one consultations are conducted in person or via Skype, your specific concerns are discussed and then an assessment is conducted based on both the consultation and an intake form that I send to you via e.mail.
Once the assessment is completed then your bespoke plan is devised, this may include any recommendations for further clinical or medical testing and or referrals to other complementary health practitioners. An option for mentoring through a program is always available and a follow up consultation will usually be booked for a month’s time.
Consultation cost
Initial 1hr consultation £200
Follow up 30-45min consultation £120
Consultations are conducted via Skype or over the phone, unless you are engaging in a personal detox or cooking program or are attending one of our retreats / workshops.
Booking the consultation
Fill in a contact form or send me an e.mail to make a booking for your consultation.
I will usually respond, via e.mail, the same day.
On confirmation of booking you will be sent a health questionnaire which is a comprehensive review of your health history, symptoms, lifestyle, goals and a 7 day food diary.
You will also then be asked to pay the initial consultation fee.
The questionnaire must be returned to me via email for preliminary analysis before the initial consultation. This will help me to gain insight into your health history and identify possible lifestyle and dietary factors which could be contributing to your health concerns.
After the consultation
You will receive a 3 to 9 week program to initiate and adhere to, we will also schedule a follow up consultation. If you should have any questions or feedback during this time I will be available via email with a guaranteed 48 hour response time. More detailed diet plans and recipes can also be included for a small additional fee.
Follow up consultation/s
Follow up consultations work on the same principle as the initial but will last 30 to 45 minutes. This is recommended to review your program and see how the recommendations have worked for you.
You will receive the following
- Review and explanation of any test results and further recommendations based on these results.
- Adaptation of the program in light of any difficulties experienced in following it and addressing any new symptoms / change in circumstances since the last consultation.
- A detailed nutritional program for the next stage of your treatment: including diet, lifestyle and/ or supplements tailored to support your needs.
